Lines on Election Day

The turnout for the election in November may be high at peak hours, which will most likely result in lines at the polling place. This site will help you to be prepared for the lines on election day.

The Orange County Registrar of Voters is extremely grateful for the 1150 locations throughout the County that have volunteered to host a polling place. Some of these polling places have limited parking available, so be prepared for the parking situation at your polling place.

The ballot
Please use your sample ballot to prepare your choices ahead of time, which will minimize the time spent in the voting booth.

Wait time
Many factors can effect voter turnout and you are encouraged to vote during off-peak hours (9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Heavy turnout can increase these estimated wait times. If you are concerned about waiting in line to vote you are encouraged to exercise one of the other options available to voters, such as vote-by mail.
