Four Ballot Drop Boxes Now Closed Due to Silverado and Blue Ridge Fires

Ballot drop boxes are impacted due to mandatory evacuation orders.

SANTA ANA, CA – October 27, 2020 – Four ballot drop boxes have been closed as a result of the Silverado Fire and Blue Ridge Fire evacuation orders.

These ballot drop box locations are in a mandatory evacuation zone for the Silverado and Blue Ridge Fires. Evacuation orders will prevent voters from safely entering impacted areas.  Voters should utilize alternate options for returning their ballots.

Affected ballot drop boxes include:

Ballot Drop Box #76
24705 Paseo De Toronto, Yorba Linda

Ballot Drop Box #28
5701 Trabuco Road, Irvine

Ballot Drop Box #29
1300 Sanctuary, Irvine

Ballot Drop Box #83
18931 Saddleback Ranch Road, Trabuco Canyon

All ballots in the affected drop boxes have been retrieved and secured by Registrar of Voters’ Ballot Collection Teams under escort by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

As an alternative, voters can drop off their ballot at 112 other ballot drop boxes in Orange County. The Registrar of Voters office will also be open for voting from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and is located at 1300 South Grand Ave., Building C, Santa Ana.
