Sample Ballots Mailed

Waves of sample ballots headed to mailboxes

Yesterday, on the first day allowed, we began to mail sample ballots to 1.4 million voters in Orange County. Voters should begin to see their sample ballot beginning next week, or they can access them online.

Yorba Linda Ballots Opened

Today we began the automated task of extracting 5,000+ vote-by-mail ballots received in the Yorba Linda Special Recall election. We provide real-time, online data on ballots mailed and returned.

Poll Worker Training Set to Begin

Our poll worker training classes will begin on October 13th. These classes will be held throughout the county. We anticipate training nearly 8,000 poll workers either in-class or online.

Vote-by-Mail Ballots

Four-page ballot inserting underway

Today we started (pictured above) inserting vote-by-mail ballots for 684,000 permanent vote-by-mail voters. This process will continue through October 6th, which is the day we will mail these ballots to voters. If a voter wants to request a vote-by-mail ballot they can do so on our website.

Poll Monitor Training

We will be offering free training to the public on the process of monitoring, or observing in a polling place. Three classes will be offered on Friday, October 3rd at 9:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at our Santa Ana offices (reservations are not required). The class will cover the rules and regulations surrounding polling place observation. We have developed a detailed handbook for the public, which covers what can and what cannot be done in a polling place.
