Vote-by-Mail Ballot Progress

Multiple shifts underway to meet goals

We have been running multiple shifts in order to meet our goal of mailing a majority of permanent vote-by-mail ballots on Monday, October 6th. We are averaging 60,000 ballots inserted per day on our way to 685,000 total.

Yorba Linda Ballots Scanned

As of today we have opened and scanned 6,727 ballots in the Yorba Linda Special Recall Election. These ballots will be tallied and posted at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday.

Voter Call Volume Increasing

Voters have been calling our office to receive information on their polling place, ballot material, etc. Call volume this week has averaged 300 calls per day.

Detailed Sorting for Postal Efficiencies

The difference is pennies per piece

We use a detailed process to precisely sort vote-by-mail ballots to ensure we are receiving the maximum discount from the postal service. Using Intelligent Mail Barcode, and Zip +5 sorting, enables us to save thousands of dollars on our ballot mailing.

Election Supplies for Yorba Linda and November

We have delivered election supplies to our Yorba Linda poll workers. Many of our Inspectors will be setting up their polling places on Monday (which is when voting booths will be delivered). We have developed a detailed list of supplies poll workers receive so that they understand what to expect on Election Day, which is also included in their poll worker operations manual.
