Sorting Election Supplies

We are in the process of conducting inventory on the election supplies (non-ballots) that were returned from the 37th Senate District polling places.

Ballot Printer Maintenance

Ballot printers from Tuesday's election (shown in the photo to the left) must have the ballot rolls removed. Once we have them removed we will store them for 22 months.

37th Senate Poll Workers

937 volunteer poll workers

Our volunteer poll workers processed nearly 11,000 voters on Election Day in polling places. Poll workers for this election serving 3-years or less made up 56% of the volunteers while those serving more than 3-years made up 44%. Volunteers from the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Costa Mesa are shown above.

Detailed Ballot Clearing Process Prior to Certification

We have developed a detailed ballot clearing process that is used prior to any election certification. For example, prior to finalizing the 37th Senate District Election, we will have ballot sweeps using detailed checklists in addition to analysis of ballots cast versus ballots tallied. This is done in painstaking detail to ensure a 100% accurate election.
