Poll Worker PASS Changes

A new addition to our Poll Worker PASS program is a personalized name badge included with each poll worker welcome packet. This will ensure each bilingual poll worker is identified.

FPPC Workshop Coming Soon

As a part of our suite of education and services for candidates we will be hosting an FPPC workshop on March 12th at 7:00 p.m. The workshop will focus on how to prepare campaign finance reports.

Independent Voters Have More Choices

All voters can vote in primary

With the addition of the “Top 2 Primary” now all voters, regardless of party, can vote in the primary election. And with no partisan primary election this June, voters will choose from a slate of candidates - the top two vote-getters from each voter-nominated contest will advance to the general election.

Addressing Sample Ballots in House Improves Efficiencies

We began to address the County's 1.6 million sample ballots in-house beginning in 2012. This complex project involves two high-speed ink jetting machines capable of applying detailed address information for each voter. In addition, we are able to customize images for each sample ballot, making each booklet personalized for the type of voter (for example, a polling place voter versus a vote-by-mail voter).
