One of Our Best Pins Yet

You will receive a commemorative lapel pin for your service, which has been custom designed for this election. Ask your Inspector for the pin at your polling place.

Please Greet the Voter

Take a moment to greet each voter with a friendly hello. Ask them to state their name and address and read back the name to them once you find them in the roster.

Sealing the Ballot Box

Often overlooked but critical procedure
We realize opening the polling place in the morning can get hectic at times. It is important to seal the ballot box (using the white sealing tape) once the first voter verifies that the box is empty. Do not break the seal until after the polling place is closed.

Dropping Off a Vote-by-Mail Ballot

Only a family member or members of a voter's household may drop off a vote-by-mail ballot on behalf of a voter. If this occurs the box listing the person's relationship to the voter must be completed (and verified), which is located on the back of the envelope. Always ensure the voter has signed the envelope before depositing into the ballot box.
