Voter Registration DeadlineThe voter registration deadline for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election is February 20 at 11:59 p.m. You can register to vote online today at ocvote.gov/register. If you want to check your registration status, or if you need to make updates, you can do so online at ocvote.gov/verify. If you are unable to meet the voter registration deadline, you can still conditionally register to vote through March 5 at any Vote Center or at the Registrar of Voters located at 1300 S. Grand Ave., Bldg. C, Santa Ana, 92705. You may also conditionally register to vote online, but must then go to a Vote Center or the Registrar of Voters to be issued a provisional ballot. | Early Voting Underway Since we mailed ballots to all registered voters last week, more than 60,000 voters have already marked and cast their Vote-By-Mail ballot. For the next week, you can vote your ballot early by:
On Saturday, February 24, we will open 37 Vote Centers for in-person voting. On Saturday, March 5, all 183 Vote Centers will open. You can mail or drop off your Vote-By-Mail ballot at any ballot drop box, Vote Center and our office until 8 p.m. on March 5. If mailing your ballot, make sure it is postmarked no later than March 5. You can find out when your ballot is counted by signing up for OC Ballot Express at ocvote.gov/track. |

| Redistricting and Voting Every 10 years, State, County, and local agencies use new U.S. Census data to redraw the boundaries of each of their districts to balance the population within each jurisdiction. This process, called redistricting, ensures that each district has about the same number of residents. As a result, the boundaries for the following offices on the ballot this election are different than they were in 2020:

| Who Can Return Your Ballot Under California law, all voters have the right to authorize any person to return their completed Vote-By-Mail ballot to the Registrar of Voters. We recommend you mark your ballot privately, place it in the return envelope, and seal and sign the envelope before giving it to someone else to return for you. If you authorize someone to return your ballot, that person is required to also sign your ballot envelope and return it to us within three days or by 8 p.m. on March 5, whichever is earlier. We also recommend you only authorize someone you trust to return your Vote-By-Mail ballot and that you confirm we received your ballot using the OC Ballot Express ballot tracking service. You can sign up at ocvote.gov/track to receive a text message or email when your ballot is received and another when it is counted. |
