Majority of Ballot Count Complete – Audits Now BeginWe have counted 804,410 ballots, bringing us to a 49.2% turnout for the Primary Election so far. A handful of clean up ballots remain, which will be processed today. In addition, we have begun the audit process that is designed to verify totals are correct.

Promoting Health and Safety During Westminster Recall Election
As the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, we are taking steps to minimize health risks to our Vote Center Customer Service Representatives and voters. Our Westminster Vote Centers will begin opening on March 28th with enhanced cleaning measures and social distancing as outlined by the CDC and CDPH. |

Over 100,000 Voters Used New Ballot Drop Boxes
A large portion of our voters embraced our new and secure ballot drop boxes for the Primary Election. Our daily pick-ups grew in volume as we approached Election Day. Over 100,000 voters chose to use one of 110 drop boxes located throughout the County. |

Risk Limiting Audits
On Monday, at 10 a.m., we will begin the process of conducting a risk-limiting audit (RLA) that will run concurrently with our 1% manual tally audit. This RLA will be conducted using the guidelines established by the Secretary of State and is designed as a proof of concept for future RLAs. |

Vote Center Supply Return and Inventory Control
All of our supply carts have been returned from our Vote Centers for the Primary Election. We are in the process of returning all items to inventory, performing cleaning and maintenance, and clearing all containers of any remaining ballots. |
