Orange County Fire Authority and Ballot Box Protection

We partnered with Orange County Fire Authority recently to conduct comprehensive tests of our fire suppression systems to ensure ballot drop boxes are protected from the unlikely threat of any fire. These successful tests confirmed our planned protections will be in place.

We have finalized our plans for logistics surrounding the delivery of all supplies to our vote centers. This includes not only voting system equipment, but also all necessary supplies, voting booths, signage, etc. This delivery plan maximizes efficiency and allows for ideal storage in our warehouses.

This week we mailed over 400,000 post cards to Orange County voters who have not affiliated with a political party. The parties allowing non-affiliated voters to vote in the March Primary are the Democratic Party, American Independent Party, and the Libertarian Party. Voters can choose which ballot they prefer by mail, online or over the telephone.

Our teams have been in the community for months assessing possible ballot drop box locations throughout Orange County. These assessments focus on strict ADA requirements, visibility, structural issues, lighting and more. Once we have completed our assessments then we begin negotiations for installation with property owners.

Update to Voter Information Guide

We are in the final stages of updating our Voter Information Guide design to adapt them for our new vote center operations. This will include new messaging on how vote centers work, how voters can access them, options for delivering a vote-by-mail ballot, detailed instructions and more.
