I Already Received a Poll Worker PASS Card in a Previous Election. Why Are You Mailing Me a New Packet and Card?

California law requires that we provide a written notice to you of your appointment to your polling place, which includes all of the legal notices you'll find in your Poll Worker PASS packet. In addition, you will notice that Poll Worker PASS cards are different colors depending on the type of election - blue for primary elections and green for general elections and special elections.

 


Why was the Poll Worker PASS Established?

The Poll Worker PASS was created to provide you immediate access to your election information, day or night, from the comfort of your home or office. With automatic email updates when changes occur, volunteers will be kept constantly updated – right up to Election Day. Benefits include: • Real time updates to your information • Training Status • Make changes to your information • Names of your fellow poll workers • Supply distribution details (Inspectors) • Polling place location and maps.

Each volunteer’s Poll Worker PASS has a unique identification number that is used to access the Poll Worker PASS website ocvote.com/pass Once you have entered your information, you will be able to view your specific polling place, training locations, board members and other important informatiion.

Can I Change My Training or Address with This Poll Worker PASS?

You cannot change your training class. However, you can submit a correction to your address.

 


Will Every Poll Worker See the Same Information?

No. Each Poll Worker PASS account is unique. There will be identical polling place information for volunteers working in the same place, but each account is specific to you.

 


Can I Change my ID Number to Something I Will Remember?

No. Think of your ID number as your account number. This is your personal Poll Worker ID number. No two numbers are alike.

 


How Often is this Information Updated?

Your information is updated automatically any time there is a change, such as the addition of a new member to your polling place or when you are scheduled for training.

 


Are All the Board Members Going to be Notified of Changes?

Yes. All members of a board will receive notifications regarding changes that affect them all, for example a new member being placed on the board.

 


I Don’t Have Access to the Internet. How Else can I Obtain This Information?

All of the Poll Worker PASS information presented online can also be accessed through our new automated Poll Worker PASS phone system by calling 1-866-661-2307.

 


I lost My Poll Worker PASS Card and ID number. How Do I Log in?

Call one of our Customer Service agents at 714-954-1901 or toll free 1-877-697-9727 for assistance. They will be able to provide you with your ID number.

 


I forgot my password to log into My Poll Worker PASS account. What do I do ?

If you forgot your password, you will have an option to click "Forgot your Password" button which will help you log on.

 


What Happens if I Lose My Poll Worker PASS?

Call one of our Customer Service agents at 714-954-1901 (or toll free 1-877-697-9727). You still have access to your personalized information and can still print out your election information as needed.

 


What Happens if I Forget to Bring My Poll Worker PASS Card to Training, Distribution or My Poll Site on Election Day?

There will be a process in place for us to ensure that we record your information and update the Poll Worker PASS website. We encourage all volunteers to carry the Poll Worker PASS at all times.

 


Will We Use the Same Poll Worker PASS for Every Election We Work?

No. With each election, the Poll Worker PASS will be different and specific to that election.

 


How Does Payroll Work with This Poll Worker PASS Card? (Or, How Can Poll Worker PASS Card Help with Payroll?)

By carrying your Poll Worker PASS with you on Election Day, we will be able to update our database and start proofing data the same day. Before, proofing of the thousands of names would begin the day after the election.

 


If Someone Else Has Access to My Card Can They Access Personal Information About Me?

When you register your card, you create your own password for protection. The only information on the site will be your name, address, phone number and your volunteer information. No sensitive information, such as birthdate and social security number will be on your account.

 


Can I Use My Husband, Wife or Parent’s Card?

No. Each card is unique to each poll worker.

 


Is My Personal Information Secure Online?

Yes. Your data is transmitted over a secure connection.

 


Do I Have to Pay any Fees to Use This New Service?

No. There is no cost to the poll worker.
