Anya Sarinana has been working for the Registrar of Voters’ office since 2010. She was hired as an Extra Help Election Aide for the 2010 Primary and General Elections. In December of 2011, Anya became a permanent staff member as an Office Assistant on the Candidate and Voter Services Team.
Often, Anya is the public’s first contact with the Registrar of Voters, whether in person or over the phone. She has demonstrated time-and-time again that she understands the mission of the department to provide quality customer service. Her responsibilities include the processing of voter registration affidavits, ensuring that any problems with the affidavits are resolved.
During election time, Anya plays a key role in assisting candidates with filing their nomination papers during Candidate Filing. Anya’s focus is also directed to vote-by-mail applications and ballots. She assists the Vote-by-Mail Unit Supervisor in managing the team that processes the high volume of ballot requests. She researches and resolves outgoing vote-by-mail ballot issues, and guides the team through the permanent vote-by-mail application procedure.
Anya’s dedication to the Registrar of Voters is demonstrated through her performance of her duties and her willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done. There is no doubt that she is an asset to her Candidate and Voter Services Team and the Registrar of Voters as a whole. Anya says “I enjoy knowing at the end of my day that I’ve played my part in helping citizens of Orange County exercise their American right to vote”.
