A "New Resident" is a person who meets all requirements of an Elector of the State of California except that his/her residency in California was established after the 15th day prior to the election.

New resident voters are eligible to vote for President and Vice President and for no other office. New resident registration must take place at the Registrar of Voters office and new resident voting must also take place in the Registrar of Voters office.
