Santa
Ana
, CA February 1, 2008 – The Registrar of Voters will
host a large poll worker practice session under a tent in our
parking lot at Grand and McFadden Avenues in Santa Ana on
Saturday, February 2nd. Hundreds of poll workers are
expected to attend this hands-on session where they can
receive additional instruction prior to Election Day.
"Studies
show that hands-on training is one of the biggest factors in
poll worker success," said Neal Kelley, Registrar of
Voters. "Other sessions earlier in the week have
had an overwhelming response from our dedicated poll
workers," he continued.
The
open house session will run from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Poll
workers are invited to come anytime during these hours but we
expect the morning to be the busiest time.
