Candidate Filing Now Open For 72nd Assembly District
Special Primary Election

Governor Issues Proclamation Calling for Special General Election


Santa Ana, CA September 22, 2009 – The Registrar of Voters announced today that the candidate filing period for the 72nd State Assembly District Special Primary Election opens immediately and will be open until October 5, 2009, 5:00 p.m. The Primary Election will be held on November 17, 2009 (which is 8 weeks prior to the scheduled Special General Election).

Any qualified person can file the declaration of candidacy papers until October 5, 2009, 5:00 p.m., in the office of the Registrar of Voters, 1300-C South Grand Avenue , Santa Ana , California . Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
