» Thank You for Your Service During the Presidential Primary                                                                        I would like to extend my thanks to you for yet another successful election in February.  Every election we are faced with new challenges and you rise to the challenge each and every time.  From chain of custody documents, to Decline to State voting and the paper ballot it was an overall successful election.  We always have room for improvement and you'll find several articles in this newsletter outlining how we're listening to you and responding.

Neal Kelley, Registrar of Voters

» Poll Worker Survey Responses From February Put Into Action                                                              Nearly 2,000 of you responded to our quality survey from the February Presidential Primary election.  Approximately 92% of you read the new training manual while 64% watched the DVD.  Expect to see an increased focus on training for June. The manual for June will feature more in-depth instruction on the Chain of Custody, as well as target some lessons learned from the last election. The survey also showed that over two-thirds of you favored separate classes for new and returning clerks. We have divided our training into three different classes: first-time clerks, returning clerks (who worked in February) and Inspectors.

» Blue Seal For eSlate Being Redesigned in Response to Your Suggestions                                   On the back of the eSlate is a blue seal that we install prior to delivery to the poll sites.  You must examine these seals and serial numbers to ensure their was no tampering of the equipment.  We found the seals to be too small to adhere properly to the eSlate so we are enlarging the seal for the June election.
