» Cruising Together Poll Worker Style                    We often hear from many of you that one of the reasons you enjoy being a poll worker is that you get to spend the day with good people. This can and does extend beyond the nearly 16-hour day you put in on Election Day. In the case of three friends from Laguna Woods it has been one of a string of activities that has bonded them together.  They recently went on a cruise together through the Panama Canal and we called to talk to them about the trip.  Click here to continue reading.

» First District Election Poll Worker Pin
One of our most popular items for poll workers during each election is the commemorative pin which we design for our volunteers.  The pin for February, shown at right, features an orange tree, the date of the election and the title of the election.  Some of our volunteers have dozens of pins that they have collected over the years as a part of our core group of dedicated volunteers.  To volunteer for the upcoming Special Election click here.

Many of you run into interesting situations while working in the polling places. You work as a team to ensure that voters are not disenfranchised by some unfortunate circumstance. We wanted to share with you one such story from the June 2007 Primary here in Orange County . Click here to continue reading.

» Possibility of Two Primaries in 2008?                  You may have read in the news recently that the State Legislature and the Governor are looking into the possibility of moving California’s Presidential Primary Election to February of 2008. There would still be a Primary Election for all other contests in June 2008, however. Some in the legislature want to give California voters a greater say in who the candidates for President will be in the General election by having the election before other states. Stay tuned.
