The ROV has recruited 3,301 poll workers for the Statewide Primary.
The ROV has 156 County employees willing to work as County Poll Workers for June 3rd.

The ROV has recruited 1,098 poll sites for June 3rd.

  
We are making a last minute push to recruit poll sites for the June Primary.  Please call our office if you have space available (714-567-7600).


Poll worker practice sessions were extremely popular with our poll workers and will be taking place again for the June Primary.

      
We received feedback from nearly 2,000 poll workers who completed our quality survey. Approximately 92% of them read our new training manual while 64% watched the training DVD.

» Multiple Elections Slated for June 2008               Our weekly election newsletter starts again with the June Statewide Primary just 60 days away.  Immediately following the June 3rd election we will be conducting the Capistrano Unified School District Special Recall election on June 24th.  We will be using all of our equipment for the June Primary and will need to quickly turn around 600 voting booths for the recall election (which serves 209,000 registered voters).

» 60 Day Military Ballot Set Ready to Mail to Overseas Voters
We have completed the 60 day ballot in time for delivery to our overseas voters.  Many Orange County citizens live temporarily overseas (including those serving in the military) and these ballots are important lifelines to the community.  We will mail thousands of these ballots out at the beginning of next week.

» New Lapel Pin Designed for June Statewide Primary Election
Shown at right we have finalized our in-house design of our poll worker pin for the June 3rd Statewide Primary election.  These pins are a popular item among poll workers and others interested in the election.  Anyone working on the election receives one of these pins as a collectible item.
 
» Secretary of State Regulations Require Changes to Our Distribution of Equipment                                  As a part of the re-certification of our voting system last year we must now send the same voting booths and JBCs (Judges Booth Controllers) to the same precincts each election.  This has required a complete overhaul of the way we inventory our voting booths.  In addition, we now send out different quantities of booths depending on historical turnout.

» Registrar of Voters Partners With Angels Baseball to Recruit Poll Workers
Starting in June our mobile vote mobile will be at several Angels baseball games throughout the summer.  Our mobile unit will be at Gates 1 and 4 for games ranging from the N.Y. Mets, Yankees, Red Sox and the Oakland A's.  The Angels organization has worked with us to provide access to some of their most popular games to maximize the foot traffic.  A schedule of all of the games we will be attending will be on our newsletter in the near future.
