» Vote-by-Mail Boards Begin Opening Ballots          This morning we began the enormous task of opening and preparing hundreds of thousands of ballots.  Over 100 members of the community arrived at our office ready to begin what will be a 10 day task.  The individuals work in groups of 4 per table and pull the ballots from the envelope and get them ready to scan.  Our goal is to have all vote-by-mail ballots ready by Election Night to tally.

» Saving Money by Printing Instructions on Paper Ballot Booths                                                               In an effort to always make sure we are operating efficiently we have eliminated the extra expense of printing separate voter instructions for cardboard booths.  Shown at left voters will now see detailed instructions (including how to properly mark a paper ballot) printed directly on the booth itself.  This reduces printing expenses and eliminates added paperwork for the poll workers.
