Extension of Candidate Filing Period for the
Statewide Direct Primary Election

 

Santa Ana, CA March 7, 2008 – The Registrar of Voters announced today that the nomination period has been extended until March 12, 2008, 5:00 p.m. for the offices listed below, because the incumbents failed to file nomination papers by the March 7, 2008 deadline.

Any qualified person, other than the incumbent, can now file the declaration of candidacy papers until March 12, 2008, 5:00 p.m., in the office of the Registrar of Voters, 1300-C South Grand Avenue, Santa Ana, California. Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
